Ce blog est juste une tentative pour partager une passion avec des gens comme moi.

Je ne sais plus qui a dit: "le Golf c'est comme le SAX, vous n'avez pas besoin d'être bon pour y prendre du plaisir". 

Alors, veuillez pardonner mes connaissances limitées. Je suis encore un tout jeune membre de la famille des musiciens, mais je suis désireux d'apprendre et d'améliorer mes compétences, autant dans le jeu du saxophone et tout ce qui est en rapport avec l'entretien, la réparation et la préservation de ces merveilleux instruments de précision en état de procurer du plaisir à la fois musical et visuel. 

Un Saxophone peut en cacher un autre...

This blog is probably just an attempt at sharing a passion with like minded individuals.

I'm not sure who said: "Golf is like SAX, you don't need to be good at it to enjoy it". 

So please forgive me if my knowledge is limited. I am still a very young member of the musician family, but I'm eager to learn and try to improve my skills, both in playing the saxophone and anything related to maintaining, repairing and keeping these wonderful precision instruments in shape to deliver as much pleasure, both musical and visual.

PS: I'm french, but as my english is not too bad, I'll do my best to post both in French and in English for my numerous friends around the world that are more comfortable in this lingua. My apologies to the rest of the world for not extending my talents into speaking their speak. I will try to do better in my next life!

Saxophore - Étymologie:

De 'Saxophone', instrument de musique à vent, appartenant à la famille des bois, inventé par le Belge Adolphe Sax et breveté à Paris en 1846.

De 'phore', du grec ancien φορός, phorós (« porteur »).

Autrement dit, passionné de cet instrument à vent. 

Saxophore - Etymology:

From 'Saxophone', a wind musical instrument, belonging to the woodwind family, invented by Adolphe Sax, the Belgian instrument maker, patented in Paris in 1846.

From 'phore', from Ancient Greek -φορος (-phoros, “bearing”).

In other words, passionate about this woodwind instrument.

Moi

Satisfaisant un rêve d'adolescent, je me suis mis au saxophone en 2011. Mais je ne m'attendais pas à devenir complètement mordu de cet instrument après en avoir acheté un d'occasion par accident et l'avoir nettoyé. Depuis, j'en ai acheté et restauré plusieurs et j'adore ça.

J'ai commencé par jouer du saxophone alto, puis du ténor, du soprano et depuis peu je me suis mis au baryton. J'ai aussi un C-Melody/Tenor en Ut.

Me, Myself, I

Satisfying a teenage dream, I started to play saxophone in 2011. But I didn't expect to become nuts about this instrument after accidentally buying and cleaning one second hand. Since then, I bought and overhauled a few and I love it.

I started to play the alto, then tenor, soprano and I recently the baritone. I also own a C-Melody.
